Bar Buddy (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Bar Buddy mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
Account Information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier. Apple Sign-In may provide a private relay email address instead of your real email.
Bar and Recipe Data. We store the ingredients, recipes, and bar configurations you create within the App. This data is associated with your account so it can sync across your devices.
Usage Data. We collect basic usage information such as login timestamps to maintain and improve the service. We do not track your activity outside the App.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App’s features (bar inventory, recipes, sharing).
- To process your subscription and in-app purchases.
- To send transactional communications (e.g., invite notifications).
- To improve the App based on aggregate usage patterns.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Apple App Store — for subscription and purchase verification.
- Infrastructure providers (AWS) — to host and operate the service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure token storage, and database encryption at rest.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
